Dinsmore Family Tour - Dinsmore's award-winning social studies program
gives an overview of the Dinsmore family and their lives on the farm.
Grades: 3-5 (2 Hours)
Children's Lives 150 Years Ago - Learn what it was like
for children living 150 years ago through a variety of fun, interactive
hands-on activities! (House tour NOT included)
Grades: K-3 (2 Hours)
Environmental Practices Past and Present - Compare the environmental
practices of the Dinsmore family 150 years ago with our methods
today through a variety of hands-on, investigative activity stations.
(House tour NOT included)
Grades: 4-6 (2 Hours)
Outreach programs are currently being developed to take the Dinsmore
story and historical programs to area classrooms.
Day Camp- The Dinsmore Homestead offers a unique pioneer day camp
each summer to educate and acquaint children with life in the 1800's.
Scout Programs
Scout programs are currently being developed. If you are interested
in bringing your scout group to Dinsmore, please call the Education
Director to discuss program possibilities.
