This October, come out to the Dinsmore Homestead & listen to stories about the Dinsmore family and the men, women, and children who worked for them as they faced life’s great equalizer: DEATH. Docents will share stories of melancholy, mourning traditions, and macabre medicinal cures—some that may have even worked! See where death took place and view the parlor as it was likely set up for Susan Dinsmore’s tragic 1851 funeral!!
