In every room of the house there are tales of suffering and endurance, happiness and pain, celebration and commiseration, echoing down from the many generations who called this Boone County treasure “home”. These stories of trials and conquest might otherwise be long forgotten if not for the efforts of the volunteers who keep them alive for you and me.

We have many who give generously of their time and talents by giving tours as a docent, helping maintain the grounds, researching historical content, assisting with the school and camp programs, supporting our many special events, and so much more.
